The number of sessions cannot be determined with certainty at the beginning of the therapeutic relationship, however, the standard episode of care is 12 weekly sessions (3 months).
I have clients who have worked with me for over a year, consistently meeting goals and adding new ones. When it comes to life transition, there is continuous opportunity for next level growth.
I have clients who choose to see me every other week with a strong focus on homework, using secure messaging in between sessions.
I have clients who have completed the initial episode of care and continue to see me monthly for accountability check-ins and continued self-discovery.
I want you to do what is right for you. There is no one-size-fits-all. Your journey is unique and therapy is successful as long as you are doing the work and moving in the direction that gets you closer to being unapologetically YOU.

Much like in-person counseling services except we will be in two different places and still accomplish the same great work.
You will have the choice to receive therapy over real-time face to face secure video sessions or secure telephone sessions. Non-crisis secure messaging is offered for convenient communication in between sessions.
Prior to the scheduled appointment you will receive a link either by secure text message or secure email that takes you to a virtual therapy room where we will meet.
The online counseling services offered by Heidi do not include crisis services. Should safety become a concern, referral to the most appropriate level of care will be completed.

I offer online mental health therapy services over the internet using a secure video or phone platform to residents throughout North Carolina, Tennessee and Florida.
I am physically located in Ocean Isle Beach, NC or Winston-Salem, NC. I do not offer in-person therapy sessions at this time secondary to the flexibility required to live the life I love.

Session FEES for the most common services:
50 minute Intake Session - $175
50 minute Individual Session - $175
50 minute Family/Couples Session (client present)- $175

A Good Faith Estimate (GFE) based on a typical therapeutic episode of care includes the initial intake and 12 weekly sessions for a total investment in your wellbeing of $2,125.
I am not paneled with any insurance companies at this time. Superbills are offered for out-of-network billing. Clients are responsible for knowing their benefits prior to admission to a therapeutic course of treatment.
Sliding scale slots are limited. Availability and scaled fees will be discussed during the free consultation session.
Credit card will be kept on file and will be charged at the close of each completed session, late cancel or no show.

I am not in network with any insurance companies.
It is important to me that the counseling/therapy services you choose are within your budget. If using your insurance IN NETWORK is essential for you to remain within your budget, I can refer you to a trusted colleague who is paneled with your insurance carrier.
PLEASE NOTE: I do provide superbills for all services rendered. Superbills are fancy receipts for therapy which you can submit to your insurance carrier for out-of-network reimbursement.
Here are some additional disclosures regarding my choice to not panel with insurance companies.
Privacy and Control
Clients have the most privacy and control over their records and information when paying out of pocket. When paying privately, your notes, diagnosis and treatment plan are only accessible to you and to me. I value the strictest confidentiality and privacy.
VIP Treatment
Because I am not spending my time making sure all is just the way the insurance company wants it, managing billing, working through billing errors, taking phone calls from insurance companies, transferring records to insurance companies, etc., I have more time to help you. I love doing research, finding the right podcast episodes and reading the right books that allow me to help you in the fullest capacity I can. I value time and the space to do my best work.
Medical Necessity
If you do not have medical necessity for treatment but still want to achieve next level mindful living, you can still receive my services. The insurance company will not govern your therapy. I value autonomy.
Best Match
There is an advantage to choosing the “best match” for your care needs and not being restricted by a list of providers that the insurance company allows. Providers may offer the services you need, however, the relationship is the foundation of success in the therapy room. I value least restricted choice and the clients right to self-determination.
No Suprises
Depending on the coverage details of your insurance plan (make sure you know), you could be responsible to cover a significant deductible and/or copayment amount which may not be any less then what you could be paying directly to your therapist. Know your insurance benefits before you choose a therapist. I value clarity.
Final Thoughts
Investing in your Self is the most lucrative investment you will make over your entire lifetime. It changes the game in a way that will empower you to live the life you choose to live - not allowing that choice to be in the hands of another.

Our first appointment is the intake appointment.
I typically complete your full assessment over two 50 minute sessions. I use a casual, rapport building process where I get to know you through your story. I will ask you what you believe is important for me to know about you. I will be sure to collect the necessary information I need in order to design a treatment plan that will provide you with the structure for the daily work (the work in between sessions is where your success lives) that will lead you in the direction of our desired outcomes for therapy.
Non-Crisis secure messaging is provided complentary and you are encouraged to use it to your full advantage. I love providing text therapy in between scheduled sessions to keep the momentum going strong and to support you daily on your journey towards designing your most authentic identity.
